Reached my first mini goal of 175…so set another one for 169…wanna see below 170……hahahahaa Also I went back to the dr Monday for my 1 month after being taken off blood pressure meds. Well I pressure was good that day but as I’d checked it off and on all month it’s ran a little high, plus I swell as I’ve discussed before. So I discussed all of this with her and instead of putting me on the blood pressure med again she put me on a diaretic. I feel it’ll help cause it sure feels good not to have all the extra water setting on my body. So I know that’s where some of this weight loss came from, but hey I’ll take it……I am drinking lots of water, eating my prunes for potasium and my multivitamin everyday……so hopefully I will keep feeling super with no extra water weight….and breath easier….. :) Have a super day all! ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!

My husbands grandfather passed away last Sunday, so we were MIA most of the week. I came back to work Thursday, but with all the catching up I didn’t have time to get online and the weekend was just as busy, my oldest daughter had volleyball tournament sat and sun. Needless to say I haven’t done as well on my eating, but I did try to be concecous what I ate and not eat like that for lunch and dinner, only 1 meal a day of heavy eating. Didn’t get much exercise really while away, did make it a few rounds around the motel 1 day. But I didn’t put any weight on, but didn’t lose any either…..Kept it steady so I see it as a success…..now to get back into the swing of things….

Has anyone come up with a good way of controling portions? I have heard of using the smaller plates…but to be honest you can still load a lot of food on those things…….LOL. I need a way to portion it when I am scooping out of dish….hahaha, Like last night we had fried potatos, stuffing and pork chops. I had 1 pork chop (boneless kind), good ol helping of potatos and stuffing. I know I ate too much I could feel it. But if I’d had gotten any less it would have looked like about 6 potatos slices and a itty bitty scoop of stuffing. Looks like I need to program my brain to look at it as not a little but all that my stomach can hold right now. We are so used to super size this and super size that. Getting my brain programed to the correct amount my stomach can hold at a time and knowing that it is all my body actually needs seems to be difficult.
I’m still doing good on my exercise and as for my weight it’s still headed down on the scale so something is working, but i wanna keep it working and make it a life style change, and getting my brian used to a little bit of food on my plate is the correct portion is 1 hurdle that has to be cleared in order for it to stay a life style change.

What is up with waking up in the morning and feeling like a balloon filled with water? I thought you were supposed to wake up refreshed and not so squishy feeling. hahaha. I for the most part do wake up feeling good; however there are days like today that when I went to bed last night my toes were swollen as far as they could swell my fingers were swollen and I was just full of water…..well when I woke up this morning…I was still that way. So it’ll take most of the day to get that squishy water feeling gone.
Still got out and walked and ran yesterday and did my wall push ups before jumping in shower.

3 pounds down! I am so excited! I love being able to walk at the park! It’s given me such a boost to drop some weight! I’ve started wall pushups too (I can’t do a regular pushup.) ahhahaaa, I hope they help my arms. I was teasing with my great neice over the Easter holiday that I had muscles too, i showed her my arm and then proceeded to wiggle my arm flab and say, “but they fell down.” hahahahaa. She gave me a real funny look, but of course all the adults laughed. But i seriously would like to tone them up so their not all flabby. hahaha

Super today! Me and Keith have been walking all week at the park. It’s a great place to walk. It is curvey and has hills and is quite a ways to walk. I’m not sure the distance of it. We make 4 times around right now. Takes up about 45 mins. to close to an hour. Keith doesn’t want to go today because he got dizzy the last lap yesterday. His blood pressure was 110/78. Which is great blood pressure, but low for him…he’s had high blood pressure for a while now and is on medication for it. It looks like though with the exercise and a few small diet changes he may not need the medication. Just need to get his body used to reg. blood pressure……lol……
The house desperatley needs cleaned so we’re going to do that, but i really really really want to go walk tonight, I may just do some bowflex and sit ups to compensate tonight. hehehe
